I am Khush Kothari and I am a Computer Science Senior at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. My area of specialisation includes Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
I love solving problems that affect our daily life with the help of my coding and problem solving skills. I aspire to keep learning and improving my skills everday. In the future, I hope to be part of an organisation that pushes me to become better everyday and provides me with the opportunity to further its interests.
I have a keen interest in the role of Software Engineering. I have gained hands-on corporate industry experience through various internships in the past 12 months at SAP Labs Singapore, Canopy Power Pte. Ltd. and Phillip Futures.

Full Stack Web Development
Gain Perspective
In recent times, social media has become a huge part of our day-to-day life. It has connected people from different parts of the world and supported numerous businesses. However, with all the benefits, there is also a worrying trend of increasing toxic content in these same platforms. This has resulted in several mental health issues as well as caused an increase in the spread of fake news. Thus, our team felt that something should be done to control the spread of this toxicity and misinformation. Hence, we came up with our very own extension called 'Gain Perspective.'
Mobile App and Web Development
Intellect
Intellect is a game that intends to gamify and socialize teaching and learning of software engineering courses and provide Teachers with an easy and convenient way to check on their Students’ progress and adapt the game to each Student’s needs. It consists of two separate applications, the Intellect game for the Students and web application for the Teachers.
Students would have access to the mobile app, where they would be able to play the game itself. The primary features in the game are: Solo Campaign mode, Challenge mode and Assignments.

Wastetastic
Wastetastic serves as a guide for users on waste disposal and recycling points (Waste POIs) all across Singapore. It provides information about these various waste POIs in the form of description, address, location, working hours, etc. It further also allows users to check the real time parking availability near a Waste POI, should the user be planning to dispose of his waste immediately. Finally, it also gives users general guidelines on how to recycle and allows users to keep track of the personal waste that they dispose off.
Backend Development
Stars Planner
The aim of this project is to implement the STARS Planner system of Nanyang Technological University to be exclusively used by both, undergraduate matriculated students and the administration staff of the university. This application created by us is closely related to the actual one used by the university. The students will be able to access various features like adding and dropping courses, swapping indexes of a course with another student, checking registered courses and so on. The administration staff will also be able perform functions like adding students, printing student lists, creating vacancies etc. In this application, we will be focussing on the correct use of design principles and object-oriented concepts for modelling.
Python Development
Graph Search Algorithm
An application developed in Python to find the fastest route to a hospital from a given network of nodes.
The application involves comparison of multiple graph searching algorithms and allows the user to choose an algorithm. The output is then displayed along with the path and the time taken by the algorithm to reach the destination. This is a command line application without any front-end.
The algorithms used include Memory Search and Multisource Breadth-First Search. Experimental analysis of the two algorithms is also performed to determine the best algorithm in different conditions.
Web Application Development
Virtual Consultant
Virtual Consultant is created to integrate and provide a
convenient online platform where patients can seek consultation from doctors
without physical interactions. Virtual Consultant aims to provide a safe space
where doctors can be segregated from the patients such that they can reduce
their exposure to the symptoms of their patients especially in the Covid-19 world
we live in today.
Our product also provides a simplified version of a social media platform with the
theme of medical health and wellbeing. It allows doctors to create posts to share
experiences, provide information, and improve the patients’ knowledge of
diseases, symptoms and recovery.
Clubs and Sports
Besides focussing on my academics, I also take part in different clubs and sports for my university. Below are my roles in NTU's clubs and sports.
NTU RED CROSS SOCIETY - SUB-COMMITTEE MEMBER
Raised funds through an event called ‘Enamour’ held during recess week of semester 1 and valentine’s day week in semester 2. Publicized different initiatives undertaken by the portfolio to create more awareness among the students and thus, generate more funds.
NTU VARSITY CRICKET TEAM - MEMBER
Won gold medal in the ‘Varsity Invitational Cricket Tournament’ that consisted of four other universities excluding NTU.
Attained 2nd position in Corporate League 2019 conducted by the Singapore Cricket Association.
